3 Year Anniversary

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO US!!!  Today Industrial Athletics turns 3 years old.  That’s no April Fools!  Look where we are now.  3 years ago, we started on the 3rd floor of another building with 1800 square feet.  We are now in a new location with close to 4000 square feet.  We credit our success to our members who put their faith in us to constantly increase their work capacity across broad times and modal domains.  We thank you all for making us great.

The WOD for today is a personal favorite of the owner.  This is a classic CrossFit WOD and one that Matt worshiped when he started CrossFitting.  He struggled for about 2 years to get his first bar muscle up.  After achieving his first Muscle Up at a YMCA, he couldn’t wait to try 30 for time.  Back when he started, impressive times were in the 6 minute range.  He didn’t come anywhere near that the first time he did this WOD.

Clean and Jerk: 165 lbs. for 1 rep (New PR; Last PR was 155 lbs.)

Platinum*: 12:11 I completed 20 muscle-ups at 8:53, but then decided to go for 30 which I completed under the 13 minute time cap. I started on the rings and completed the first 4 muscle-ups there. I then moved to the bar where I completed the remaining 26 muscle-ups.
