Barbara for 9/18/2015

Today we fight through a classic CrossFit benchmark WOD and also honor the mother of Jen and Kim Griener.  On September 10, 2013, Jen and Kim’s mother, Barbara, died after a 3 year fight with cancer.  She was 1 day shy of her 61st birthday.  Barbara never fully understood why Jen and Kim loved CrossFit so much and why they would continue day after day suffering through hard workouts getting bumps, bruises, and hand tears.  However, what was understood was the daily struggle and fight to get “better.”  Whether that meant beating cancer or fighting hard to avoid Syndrome X.  Jen and Kim have been away on vacation, so they asked me to move their annual celebration to today.  They ask that everyone join them in honoring their mother and all who have fought cancer.

If you have a stop watch, please bring it.

Shoulder Press Max Effort is rescheduled for next Wednesday.

Quick Note:  We will be CLOSED tomorrow (Saturday) for a Kettle bell Seminar hosted by Primal Fitness Pittsburgh, LLC.

Rest 3 Minutes between Rounds

    10 Pull-ups
    20 Push-ups
    30 Sit-ups
    40 Squats

    Five rounds, each for time of:
    7 Pull-ups (may be banded)
    15 Push-ups (may be on knees)
    25 Sit-ups
    35 Squats

    Five rounds, each for time of:
    5 Ring Rows
    10 Push-ups (may be on knees and/or with Ab Mat under chest)
    15 Sit-ups
    20 Squats
