“DT” for 10/2/2015

Because of the weather, we are canceling kickball tomorrow.  IA will be open regular Saturday hours.  We will also be heading to the James Street Gastropub tomorrow night around 7pm.  Come hang out, eat some food, have some drinks, and listen to some music.

Hero WODS are CrossFit’s way of honoring those who die in service of our country.  The WODs always have a reputation of being harder, longer, heavier than what we are used to.  At the 2015 Reebok CrossFit Games, the elite had to do “DT” with heavier weight than was originally prescribed.  It was impressive to see them move that much weight without much rest.  When you try “DT” today, try to keep moving once you pick up the bar.  Rest between movements and don’t do unnecessary work.

Here is the story of “DT”: In honor of USAF SSgt Timothy P. Davis, 28, who was killed on Feburary, 20 2009 supporting operations in OEF when his vehicle was struck by an IED. Timothy is survived by his wife Megan and one-year old son T.J.
