The Industrial Athletics Athlete of the Month for February 2017 is someone we see early in the morning. Â As a 3 day a week member, she isn’t there as much as some of our unlimited members, but she stands out with her consistency. Â She shows up at 6:15am with a smile on her face and a determination to give it her best. Â Never one to get discouraged, she listens to the coaches and does her best to perfect her movement. Â When she finishes early, she is quick to encourage others. Â The February 2017 Athlete of the Month is:

- Why did you start CrossFit?
I was looking for something different than just showing up to the gym. I have always been an athlete. I knew how to show up for practice and then was coached of what to do. It was difficult for me to have to do my own workouts when that chapter of my life was over. I’m thankful to have discovered crossfit to have that coaching and motivation back again.

Anything jumping/legs related – box jumps, front/back squats, deadlifts, wall balls
- What is your least favorite thing to do in CrossFit?
Overhead squats and snatches
- What is the number 1 thing you want to get better at?
Kipping Pull Ups
- What is your favorite part about coming to CrossFit at Industrial Athletics?
The coaches and the other members. It’s great to have such great people to spend early mornings with and get our sweat on.
- What is your favorite CrossFit WOD?
I’m not sure I have a favorite WOD yet but I typically enjoy shorter MetCons but very high intensity. I really enjoyed one programmed recently that was 4 rounds of wall balls and box jumps.
